this could be the salvation we are looking for

let me just say, from the looks of this new trailer for Terminator: Salvation, that this movie could actually be much better than what i was hoping for.

now, i love the first two Terminator movies (as all sci-fi fans and movie fans as well) and the third was okay. but when charlie's angel director McG got signed to direct the movie, i got a little bit worried. i mean, this was the guy who gave us Charlie's Angel: Full Throttle, which kinda sucked. big time. as well as that headache of a movie Stay Alive. maybe he's not an Uwe Boll, but if you're a fan of the Terminator franchise, you would want a more capable director to handle the reins after James Cameron, right?

and then Christian Bale got signed in. now that was some interesting news. maybe he could bring in some of the magic he put into the recent Batman movies. he might do for the Terminator series what Daniel Craig did for the Bond series.

and after seeing the latest trailer, i am beginning to find some hope that this movie would not suck as much as that Angel's movie. the tone is great, Bale and Sam Worthington looks badass (and Bryce Dallas Howard looks hot as Kate Connor), the SFX is looking pretty tight (the giant mecha is kickass and that motorcycle spin.. wow) and im really liking the idea behind Sam Worthington's character in the movie.
